Holtop's Ultra-Low Energy Fresh Air System Illuminates Jiading Future City 2025-12-23 Holtop’s ERV Systems Power Shanghai’s Pioneering Near-Zero Carbon Community In the Jiading New City of Shanghai, the "Jiading Future City" project, jointly developed by Vanke and China Construction Ninth Division, is setting a new benchmark for green, low-carbon construction. By integrating over 20 cutting-edge technologies—including Holtop's high-efficiency energy recovery ventilation (ERV) systems, photovoltaic roofs, and direct current (DC) power systems—the project reduces the community's overall carbon emission intensity by approximately 32%. The market hall and art exhibition space experience high foot traffic and frequent use, demanding exceptional air freshness, purity, and comfort. Their dual-seal design and flexible sealing technology effectively prevent exhaust air leakage, while the high-efficiency energy recovery unit maximizes heat recovery from exhaust air. Coupled with a multi-stage filtration system, the units ensure a continuous supply of clean, comfortable, and odor-free fresh air—significantly enhancing the health and comfort of the public spaces and perfectly meeting the air quality demands of high-usage scenarios. Strict energy performance verification ensures operational outcomes meet expectations.   Improving indoor air quality often comes at the cost of higher energy consumption. To meet the project's ultra-low energy standards, Holtop deployed rotary wheel air handling units. The core rotary heat exchanger utilizes advanced molecular sieve coating technology to ensure high heat transfer efficiency. To further enhance performance, a dual-wheel configuration was adopted. This two-stage energy recovery system captures exhaust energy with maximum efficiency, drastically reducing the system's overall energy demand and allowing for downsized heating/cooling sources—reducing both initial equipment costs and spatial footprint, which is critical for the project's full lifecycle low-carbon operation.Energy performance verification is crucial for ensuring ultra-low energy buildings meet their design targets.
