Ultra-Low Energy Challenge | Holtop Empowers Shanghai Lingang Tianchen with Green Vitality 2026-05-12 As the first commercial project launched and implemented in Lingang New Area, the supporting commercial project of Shanghai Lingang Tianchen has successfully passed the evaluation and acceptance for ultra-low energy buildings in Shanghai, ranking among the city’s first batch of public buildings certified for ultra-low energy performance. Leveraging rich experience in air conditioning solutions for ultra-low energy buildings, outstanding heat recovery technology, and low-carbon energy-saving HVAC products, Holtop helps Lingang Tianchen create a healthy, comfortable and energy-efficient public space. The supporting commercial complex of Lingang Tianchen integrates a fantasy commercial block, a literary & romantic themed block, a sports center, a sunken plaza connected to rail transit, an immersive theater and a hotel. Through integrated technologies such as improving the thermal performance of building envelopes, optimizing electromechanical systems, and fully utilizing renewable energy, Lingang Tianchen aims to build a demonstration project for ultra-low energy public buildings. Holtop delivers far more than just air conditioning equipment; it provides a core system solution to resolve conflicts among indoor air quality, energy consumption and compliance requirements for large commercial buildings. In compliance with the project’s ultra-low energy building standards, Holtop customized a modular combination of outdoor units for direct expansion air handling units, rotary heat recovery air conditioning units, and Owind series fresh air ventilators.Low-carbon and energy-saving products that meet ultra-low energy building standards are adopted throughout the whole system from main units to terminal units. Low-Carbon & Energy-Saving via Heat Recovery Technology Improving indoor air quality and comfort is usually accompanied by increased energy consumption. As an ultra-low energy project, Lingang Tianchen sets stringent requirements on the heat recovery efficiency of HVAC terminal systems. The project adopts Holtop rotary air handling units. The core component — rotary heat exchanger — is equipped with advanced molecular sieve coating to ensure high-efficiency heat exchange. Meanwhile, it is compatible with smaller-sized cold and heat source units, which not only reduces equipment investment and floor space occupation, but also offers crucial support for the project’s full-lifecycle low-carbon operation. Responsive Energy-Saving Main Units The air conditioning main units adopt Holtop full DC inverter direct expansion air handling units. Equipped with dual core configurations — DC inverter compressors and DC inverter fan motors, the units can rapidly adjust loading capacity in real time according to the load demand of indoor units, achieving precise operation control. With stepless capacity regulation, the units accurately match load fluctuations and greatly reduce temperature variation. Moreover, its Coefficient of Performance (COP) and Annual Performance Factor (APF) both exceed the requirements for main air conditioning units of ultra-low energy buildings, guaranteeing data collection for subsequent acceptance and operation. Intelligent Control for Energy Saving & Comfort Public buildings feature dense crowds and frequent human activities, imposing strict requirements on air freshness, cleanliness and comfort. Holtop Empowers FedEx South China Hub at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport 2026-05-07 Holtop air conditioning equipment has been officially put into operation at International Cargo Terminal 4 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, namely the FedEx South China Operation Center. With professional HVAC system solutions, reliable product performance and a full-process service system, Holtop supports the construction of Guangzhou as a world-class air cargo hub and fuels the high-quality development of cross-border trade in the region. The International Cargo Terminal 4 project is a key initiative for Guangzhou Baiyun Airport to build a world-class air cargo hub. Jointly developed by Guangdong Airport Group Logistics Co., Ltd. and FedEx, it serves as a crucial strategic layout of FedEx in China. The terminal focuses on the sorting, warehousing, customs clearance and air-land combined transportation of international air express cargo, strengthening cross-border logistics links between South China and the Asia-Pacific, European and American markets. As a multi-functional and modern air cargo hub, the project sets extremely high standards for air conditioning systems. On one hand, core areas including sorting and warehousing require maximum usable floor space for large-space operation. On the other hand, the facility operates 24/7 at high frequency and high load, imposing stringent requirements on equipment stability, durability and intelligent regulation capability. In addition, the tight construction schedule raises high barriers for suppliers in terms of rapid supply capacity, professional technical strength and experience in delivering large-scale projects.
