In September 2025, Holtop successfully supplied 31 sets of fully DC inverter-driven direct expansion (DX) air conditioning units for the newly built Lingang New City Area 103 Sports Complex in Shanghai’s Pudong District. As the first multi-functional sports venue in Lingang’s core urban area, the complex includes a basketball arena, fitness zones, and other supporting facilities, requiring a highly responsive and energy-efficient HVAC system capable of handling large-space environmental control demands.
Large sports venues present unique HVAC challenges—significant and sudden changes in occupancy, high ventilation requirements, and the need for zonal temperature and humidity control. Holtop’s DC inverter-driven DX systems were selected for their ability to provide:
Each unit can automatically adjust its output according to real-time indoor conditions, ensuring that areas such as the basketball court and fitness rooms remain comfortable during events and daily operation. In addition, the system supports individual zone setting configurations, allowing facility managers to optimize energy use based on occupancy schedules.
With high seasonal COP and IPLV ratings, Holtop’s DX systems help the sports complex minimize its carbon footprint while maintaining reliable indoor comfort. This supports Lingang’s goals of establishing modern, green, and smart urban infrastructure.
Holtop has extensive expertise in providing custom HVAC solutions for stadiums, arenas, and other large public buildings worldwide. Whether for new construction or retrofit projects, we deliver systems that combine comfort, intelligence, and energy savings.
